Baker Avionics participates in a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program sponsored through the Aircraft Electronics Association and Fastport.
Our apprenticeship pathway combines paid, hands-on avionics experience with structured technical training and progressive skill development—giving new technicians a defined path to build a career in aircraft electronics.
Apprentices work alongside experienced avionics professionals while developing the knowledge and competencies required in today's aviation industry.
A CLEAR PATH FOR TECHNICIAN DEVELOPMENT
Baker Avionics participates in a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program sponsored through AEA and Fastport.
CAET - Certified Technician - Level 1
Foundational aircraft electronics knowledge and the starting point for developing professional avionics technicians.
CAET - Advanced - Level 2
Advanced hands-on competency demonstrating the technician can apply their knowledge in real-world avionics work.
CAET - Pro - Level 3
Professional-level development focused on leadership, human factors, safety management and advanced avionics experience.
Experienced Avionics Technicians & Installers Needed
Baker Avionics is a Certified FAA Repair Station and we are looking for experienced Avionics Technicians and installers.
Must have experience in installing Garmin products, including other top dealer instrumentation. Must have at least 2 years experience working in General Aviation. Airframe/Powerplant Licence is preferred but not required.
Entry Level Technician
Occasionally we have openings for an entry-level technician. Proven and solid employment history is a must. We invest in training the right person who is looking for a career in aviation. No avionics experience is required. Just a desire to work and learn in a challenging trade that can set you up for years to come.
These positions are few at Baker Avionics as we can only have one trainee at this time. We are a small shop but we believe in investing in our community, and part of our community is you.
