Close & Quick Food Favorites
Area 61 Taphouse
One of our favorites and conveniently located close to the Grants Pass Airport.
Area 61 offers a great selection of beer and cider along with a rotating variety of food trucks, making it an easy place to stop after dropping off your aircraft.
Baker Avionics favorite: If Papa Loca is there, give them a try!
Tijuana's Birria
If you're in the mood for Mexican food, Tijuana's Birria is another local favorite just a few miles from the airport.
It's a great option for grabbing a meal while you're in town.
Jimmy's Classic Drive-In
Sometimes you just want a good burger.
Jimmy's is a longtime Grants Pass classic and one of our recommendations when you're looking for a casual burger-and-fries kind of meal.
Experience the Rogue River
If you have some free time during your stay, one of the best ways to experience Southern Oregon is from the Rogue River.
Whether you're looking for a relaxing float or something a little more adventurous, there are several excellent local outfitters.
Hellgate Jetboat Excursions
One of the signature Grants Pass experiences.
Hellgate offers several different excursions on the Rogue River, ranging from shorter scenic trips to longer adventures through Hellgate Canyon.
It's an excellent option if you're only here for a day but still want to experience the Rogue River.
Rogue Jet Boat Adventures
If your travels take you toward the Medford/Central Point area, Rogue Jet Boat Adventures is another option for experiencing Southern Oregon from the water.
Orange Torpedo Trips
For those looking for adventure, Orange Torpedo Trips offers guided Rogue River rafting experiences and is located just north of Grants Pass in Merlin.
Morrison's Rogue Wilderness Adventures
Morrison's offers guided Rogue River adventures as well as equipment rentals for those looking to experience more of the Wild & Scenic Rogue River.
Options range from day adventures to more extensive river trips.
River Dance Raft Rentals
Another great local option for getting on the Rogue River. River Dance offers raft and kayak rentals in Merlin for visitors who would rather explore the river at their own pace.
Have More Time?
If your aircraft will be with us for several days, Grants Pass makes a great starting point for exploring more of Southern Oregon and Northern California.
Crater Lake National Park
Make a day trip to one of Oregon's most iconic destinations. Crater Lake is an unforgettable drive and well worth considering if you have a full day available.
The Oregon Coast & Redwoods
Head west toward the Southern Oregon Coast and continue into Northern California to experience the giant coastal redwoods.
It's a longer outing, but if you have the time, combining the coast and redwoods makes for a spectacular Southern Oregon/Northern California road trip.
Britt Music & Arts Festival
During concert season, check the Britt Festival schedule in historic Jacksonville.
An outdoor concert at Britt can make a great evening outing, and Jacksonville itself is worth spending some time exploring before the show.
We live and work here, and we're happy to recommend places to eat, stay and explore based on how much time you have.
Our job is to take care of your aircraft. We want you to enjoy your time in Southern Oregon, too.
